Coach Winn commented, "Aaron lead the team with great command of game and brought everyone else to his level." ![]() The Benton Panther Soccer teams had a successful evening collectively, beating Sheridan 2-0 in the JV Women's match and 3-0 in the JV Men's match. The Varsity Women came back from a one goal deficit in the first half scoring two in the second half and holding the YellowJackets at bay for a 2-1 win. The win puts the Lady Panthers at 4-0 overall and 3-0 in conference. The Varsity Men started off the match with a quick score as Blake Eason took the ball from mid-field and put it in the back of the net only 9 seconds into the game. Blake ended up with a hat-trick for the game scoring three times. Final score 11-0. The win puts the Panthers back in the win column, 3-1 overall and 2-1 in conference. Next up for all teams is a home conference matchup vs Texarkana. Women's Player of the Game![]() Congratulations to #3 Hattie Mahoney for being selected the Benton Girls Soccer Player of the Game. Hattie had 8 points in the match (4 goals). ![]() March 4th marked the start of the season for the Benton Panthers and Lady Panthers Soccer teams at Benton Panther Field. The action started with a match between the JV Lady Panthers and Russellville ending in a 0-0 tie. The Varsity Women were next to take the field holding on to a 1-0 win, also against Russellville. In the twilight event, the Varsity men matched up against Greenbrier. Benton was first to get on the scoreboard with an early goal, later sending another past the keeper before halftime taking a 2-0 lead. In the second half, Benton scored two more times bringing the final to 4-0. For the match Nabor Simon, Andy Giron and Garrett Bosley all accumulated two points with goals scored; Andrew Norris and Blake Eason had one point each with assists. Andrew Norris had an assist for the match and earning him player of the game. Next up for Benton is the ‘Salt Cup’ at Benton Panthers Field featuring matches between Benton and Bryant.
